You can create custom questions through your 'Fundraising Pages' and add them to your Everyday Giving Pages to collect donor responses during checkout. These can be helpful when creating custom fields to track the information in your 'Donor Management' system.
Creating custom questions automatically creates a corresponding custom field on each donation record in 'Donor Management', where you can view that information anytime.
You can also filter custom fields on both the 'Contacts' and 'Giving' pages and they can be included in data exports.
Step 1: Navigate to your 'Fundraising Pages'
From your 'Donor Management' Dashboard, click 'My Tools' in the upper right corner of the page and select 'Fundraising Pages' from the drop-down list of options.
Step 2: Add or locate a campaign
On your 'My Campaigns' page, add a campaign or click the 'Manage' button in the tile of an existing campaign.
Step 3: Click to edit the campaign
On the 'Campaign Overview' page, click the 'Edit' button in the upper right, which will direct you to the 'Edit Campaign' page.
Step 4: Scroll to the 'Donor Questions / Custom Fields' section
Scroll down until you find the 'Donor Questions / Custom Fields' section on the right of the page.
Click the 'Add Question' button.
Step 5: Add your questions
Drag and drop any custom fields you want to include as questions on your campaign page from the 'Available Custom Fields' section to the 'Questions on This Page' box on the right.
To create new questions, click the '+ Create a New Field' button on the upper left of the page.
When you are finished, click 'Save'.
Your donors can respond to your custom question(s) after selecting their donation amount from your donation page.
Here is an example of how that may appear on your page:
Note: If you edit a custom field after responses have been collected, 'Donor Management' will take the response from the most recent donation and move that response to the associated contact record instead.
