Introducing: Volunteer Tracking
We are thrilled to introduce Volunteer Tracking, a brand-new feature designed to help you capture, manage, and act on volunteer contributions, right alongside your donor data in the Network for Good platform.
With this launch, you will finally be able to close the “volunteer visibility gap” and bring your full community of supporters into view, making it easier to grow engagement, deepen relationships, and report on your total impact.
This feature will begin automatically rolling out to all Network for Good customers with active Donor Management beginning in early July.
Note: If you only use Fundraising Pages (and not Donor Management), this feature will not be available to you at this time.
What does this new functionality offer?
You can:
Track Volunteer Contributions Seamlessly
designate contacts as volunteers
log hours manually with jobs/tasks and notes
view full history directly in contact profiles
Allow Volunteers to Log Hours Themselves
share a public self-reporting form (with QR code support)
auto-match to existing contacts or create new ones
get notified when volunteers submit hours
Get a Complete Picture of Engagement
view volunteer activity side-by-side with donation data
filter contacts by activity and engagement level
add badges to recognize volunteer support
Organize Opportunities & Reach Out
create and manage volunteer opportunities
report on volunteer activity by opportunity
send emails or texts to specific volunteer segments
Gain Access to Insights & Impact at Your Fingertips
With built-in dashboards and filtering tools, you will be able to:
quantify the financial value of volunteer time
spot and re-engage lapsed volunteers
celebrate top contributors
discover overlap between donors and volunteers
What do I need to do before launch?
Nothing! Volunteer Tracking will be added to your account without any setup required. If you want to get a head start:
organize spreadsheets you have and be ready to import volunteer hours when the import capability is available
prepare any historic hours you want to upload
bookmark your new volunteer self-reporting form when it goes live
Coming Soon!
We are rolling this out in three phases:
Milestone 1: Core Volunteer Tools (Early July)
Start tracking and viewing volunteer data, create opportunities, and communicate with segments.
Milestone 2: Self-Reporting & Insights
Gain access to dashboards, self-logging forms, and contact filters based on activity.
Milestone 3: Automation & Smart Tools
Automatically detect lapsed volunteers, queue outreach, and manage engagement settings with ease.
Stay tuned for tutorials and walkthroughs in your Dashboard! Our Support team is here to help if you have any questions navigating this new feature.
