What is “Events Lite”?
Events Lite pages (previously known as “Freemium Events”) are free events page that includes all the functionality of our Ticketing pages, in addition to our new Event Invitations feature.
You can create as many Events Lite pages as you want, and the attendee list for paid tickets is capped at 50 and unlimited for free registrations - so it’s perfect for your organization’s smaller events!
What’s the difference between an Events Lite page and Ticketing Pages?
Events Lite pages look and feel similar to our new Essential Events pages that we recently launched, including some of the enhanced functionality and features unique to those Essential Events pages. Events Lite let you experience our Essential Events pages for smaller events at no additional cost to your organization, so you can decide if our premium Events pages will work for your organization’s needs.
Events Lite pages include the following features:
Unlimited attendance for free (registration) events, or up to 50 attendees for paid events
$1 cost per paid ticket over the initial 50 attendees (note: includes offline ticket purchases)
One (1) ticket type
3% transaction & processing fee
Events Integration with DMS
Ticketing/Registration/RSVP (for one ticket type)
Limited Auction integration
Updated layout design
Ticketing, by contrast, only includes the following features:
3% transaction & processing fee
How will I be billed for any tickets I sell over the 50-ticket cap?
When your event has concluded, Network for Good will review your Events Lite page, and automatically add the additional charge to your bill 2-4 weeks after the conclusion of the event.
When is Ticketing “going away”?
The option to create new Ticketing pages will no longer be available starting on February 17th, and Ticketing will be replaced by our Events Lite pages during that same time.
How will I get access to Events Lite pages?
Events Lite pages will be available in your Fundraising Pages starting on February 17th - no additional action needed on your end!
You will have the option to select the Events Lite option at the end of the event page builder.
How do I know whether Events Lite pages or Essential Events pages are right for my upcoming event?
Events Lite pages are a great fit for:
Organizations that run frequent, uncomplicated fundraising events, such as:
Organizations that run frequent, larger events for free, non-fundraising events, such as:
Art or Museum Exhibits
Organizations that don’t want to or expect to fundraise heavily at the event
Essential Events pages are a great fit for:
Events-focused organizations that run large, complicated, fundraising events such as:
Organizations that use Network for Good Auctions as part of their event
Organizations that will utilize Livestreaming as part of their event
Organizations that are currently using multiple systems to manage their events, their communications, and their donors
Organizations that need to solicit for and manage sponsorships to cover the cost of their events
Organizations that want to maximize donations and participants for their events
What if I have already created a ticketing page?
We will honor and retain any Ticketing page created for an event to be held prior to April 30th, 2022 - or you can upgrade to our Essential Events product, if you wish, and it better suits your needs.
If you create a Ticketing page for an events to be held after April 30th, 2022, your Ticketing page will be converted to a Events Lite page after February (unless you choose to upgrade to the Essential Events pages!).
Can we extend the April 30th deadline for Ticketing Pages, so we can keep our existing Ticketing Page as-is for our upcoming event?
Unfortunately, we aren’t able to adjust that April 30th date to retain existing Ticketing Pages.
If your event is scheduled after April 30th, however, we’ll automatically migrate your Ticketing Page to an Events Lite page without any attendee caps or additional charges for that page, until the end of your current contract.
What are my options if I do not currently have Donor Management as part of my Network for Good subscription?
Essential Events and Events Lite pages are only available for our All-In-One customers with Donor Management at this time. For our nonprofit customers who currently only utilize Fundraising Pages, you will need to upgrade to our All-In-One platform in order to use these types of event pages.
However, for our Fundraising Pages customers who have used our Ticketing pages within the last 12 months, we do have additional options available.
