Queues vs Locations vs Accounts

When should you create a queue, vs adding a new location in your existing account, vs signing up for a brand new account?

Queues

When your business location offers multiple services, you can designate each service as a queue. Examples below:

  • Restaurants have different queues for each tabletop

  • Beauty salons have unique queues for haircut, hair coloring, manicure, pedicure, etc

Locations

Locations can be thought about a couple different ways:

  1. More traditionally, businesses that have multiple physical locations will add new locations under the same account in order to easily manage settings, users, and billing for all their locations with a single log in.

  2. Location can also be thought of as unique virtual experiences - if a business account wants to offer multiple unique branded experiences for each Settings module.

Accounts

We recommend a business' owner or most senior operational manager to sign up for an account for the business - if a business has multiple queues and locations, they can all be easily created and managed within the one account (along with users, billing, and other settings)

Occasionally, some types of businesses and franchises may have multiple locations that have different ownership structures - this is a use case where different accounts are created, at the discretion of each business owner.
