In the menu that opens, set the time range to All time and check both Cookies and site data and Cached images and files. Then click Clear.

Universal "Clean Start" Tip

After clearing, fully close and reopen your browser to ensure all active session data is purged. Reopening a single tab is not enough - quit the browser entirely.

For a specific NextMe page that won't update after clearing, use a Hard Refresh:

  • Windows / Linux: Ctrl + F5

  • Mac: Cmd + Shift + R

A hard refresh forces the browser to ignore its cache and pull a completely fresh copy of the page.

What to Do If It Doesn't Work

If you see...

Try this

Page still loads outdated content after clearing

Check that you selected "All time" as the time range, not just "Last hour" or "Last 24 hours"

Browser shortcut didn't open the right menu

Use the browser-specific menu path in the table above instead

You cleared cache but are now logged out and can't sign back in

Confirm your password and check the Network Requirements article for any connectivity issues

Issue persists after a hard refresh

Try a different browser or device to rule out a device-specific issue, then check System Status

FAQ

  1. Will clearing my browser cache log me out of NextMe?

Yes, in most cases. Cookies and site data store your active session, so clearing them will require you to sign back in. Your account, waitlist data, and settings are stored on NextMe's servers and are not affected - you'll see everything exactly as you left it after signing back in.

  2. Do I need to clear cache and cookies, or just cache?

For most NextMe Web issues, clearing both is the safer choice. Cache stores temporary files (CSS, scripts, images) that can become outdated after a release. Cookies store your session and preferences. Clearing only cache often fixes display issues; clearing both is needed when something is truly stuck or behaving unexpectedly after a sign-in.

  3. What's the difference between a regular refresh and a hard refresh?

A regular refresh (Ctrl + R or Cmd + R) reloads the page but may still use cached files. A hard refresh (Ctrl + F5 or Cmd + Shift + R) forces the browser to ignore its cache entirely and download a completely fresh copy. Use a hard refresh first - if that doesn't fix it, then clear cache and cookies fully.

  4. The steps for my browser don't match what I see on screen. What should I do?

Browser menus change with software updates, so the exact path may vary slightly from what's shown above. Look for any menu item that mentions "Privacy", "History", or "Browsing data" - the option to clear cookies and cache is usually one or two clicks deep from there. If you still can't find it, search online for "clear cache [your browser name] [your device]".
