Sometimes an app might not load properly, show outdated information, or fail to respond as expected. In most cases, a simple refresh or restart can resolve the issue. If that doesn’t help, clearing your cache is the next best step.
For the iOS App Store app
1. Refresh the App
In most screens, swipe down to refresh content.
If the refresh gesture doesn’t work, try switching to another tab or section in the app and then returning.
2. Restart the App
Swipe up from the bottom of the screen (or double-press the Home button on older devices).
Swipe the app off the screen to close it completely.
Reopen the app from your home screen.
3. Clear Cache (iOS)
iOS doesn’t allow direct cache clearing for most apps. If issues persist:
Go to Settings › General › iPhone Storage.
Select the app from the list.
Tap Delete App, then reinstall it from the App Store to clear cached data and start fresh.
For the Google Play Store app
1. Refresh the App
Swipe down on the screen (if supported) to refresh content.
Switch to another section in the app, then return to reload data.
2. Restart the App
Open Recent Apps on your device.
Swipe the app away to fully close it.
Reopen the app.
3. Clear Cache (Android)
Go to Settings › Apps › [App Name] › Storage.
Tap Clear Cache.
If problems continue, select Clear Storage or uninstall and reinstall the app.
For Web App Users on any device and browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox)
1. Refresh the Page
Click the refresh/reload icon in your browser, or
Press Ctrl + R (Windows) or Command + R (Mac).
2. Restart the Browser
Close the browser tab or all windows.
Reopen your browser and sign back in to the app if necessary.
3. Clear Cache in Your Browser
Open browser Settings or History.
Choose Clear Browsing Data or Clear Cache.
Ensure “Cached images and files” is selected, then tap Clear Data.
You may need to refresh the app page again and sign in.
