Table View and List View

Learn how to switch between table and list layouts on your waitlist and customize what each view shows.

Your waitlist can be displayed in two layouts: List View and Table View. Both show the same guests and support the same actions, so you can switch between them at any time based on what fits your workflow best.

When to use this article

  • You want to fit more guests on screen at once, especially on a busy queue

  • You want to choose which columns or fields show up on your waitlist

  • You want to understand the difference between List View and Table View

  • You want to make custom field labels easier to read on smaller screens

Switching Between Views

  1. Open your waitlist

  2. Use the layout switcher in the toolbar to choose List or Table

  3. Your preference is saved automatically, so your waitlist will keep loading in the layout you last chose

Using the iOS or Android app? Table View is currently in beta and only available on tablet and desktop. On mobile devices, your waitlist will display in List View.

Table View

Table View fits significantly more guests on screen at once, especially on smaller screens, making it easier to stay on top of a busy queue without scrolling. All the actions you rely on in List View are available in Table View as well.

Customizing Columns

Use the Columns button in the toolbar to show or hide fields like phone number, reference ID, wait time, and any custom fields you have set up. Phone numbers are tappable in Table View for quick calling.

Bulk Actions

Table View also supports selecting multiple guests at once to notify or cancel them together, instead of acting on guests one at a time. Bulk actions are currently only available on web within Table View.

See the Bulk Actions article for full details.

List View

List View has been refreshed to make the most of your screen, whether you are on a desktop or a smaller device.

Custom Fields

Custom fields now display horizontally so you can see more information at a glance, with a tap-to-expand option when there is more to show.

Status Badges

Status badges are directly clickable, so you can update a guest's status without opening the edit panel.

Queue and Time Filters

Queue and time filters have moved to a scrollable row in the header, giving you faster access to different views of your waitlist.

Tip: On smaller devices, custom field labels are hidden to keep things compact. You can add an emoji to any custom field in Custom Field Settings. Emojis show at every screen size and make it easy to identify your fields at a glance.
