How to check you are logged into the right account, get out of a login loop, and restore an Apple subscription on your device

The app prompts me to subscribe even though I have a subscription - what should I do? I need help logging in.

If you know you have created a subscription with nkoda, but the app is prompting you to subscribe or encouraging you to try logging in again, it may be that you are logged into a different account to the one that holds your subscription.

Here's what you can do:

  • Check your emails to see which email address your nkoda receipts are being sent to. It is likely that this email address is the email associated with your account. However, you may still need to sign in with a particular social sign on, as explained next...

  • It may be that you initially signed up with a social sign-on, e.g. Apple, Facebook, Google, instead of with an email address and password. If you signed up to nkoda through one of these social sign-ons, you will need to log out of nkoda, and log back in again with the social sign-on you used to sign up initially with.

  • When renewing a subscription made through the Apple Store, Apple will often connect your subscription up to a pre-existing account with nkoda. If you have recently renewed a subscription with the Apple Store, please try logging into your pre-existing account to access your subscription.

  • If you have purchased a subscription through the Apple Store, you may need to restore the subscription on your device. Please follow these steps to restore your subscription on an iOS device:

  1. Make sure you are using the original device that the subscription was made on

  2. Make sure you’re using the latest version of the app (version 4.0.0)

  3. Go to My Library and click on the 'Restore' button

  4. If you’re prompted with the AppStore dialog then use your AppStore credentials to authenticate

  5. The system will validate your account and you’ll get one of the options below:

  • If your subscription is not linked to an existing account you’ll be prompted to sign in or sign up to link that now

  • If your subscription is already linked to an existing account you’ll be prompted to sign in
