Eligible Payment Methods for Your Notch Wallet (for Payouts)

Learn which payment methods you can add to your Notch Wallet to receive payouts, and why savings accounts aren't supported.

Updated yesterday

To receive payouts from Notch, you'll need to link a valid checking account to your Notch Wallet. We use Stripe Connect to securely process payments and send funds directly to your bank account.

⚠️ Important: Savings accounts, prepaid cards, and certain business account types may fail or experience delays with payouts.

✅ Supported Account Types for Payouts:

  • U.S. checking accounts with a valid routing and account number

  • Business checking accounts (must support ACH credits)

  • Debit cards

❌ Not Supported:

  • Savings accounts – Most savings accounts reject ACH credit transfers, causing your payout to fail.

  • Prepaid cards

  • Cash App, PayPal, Venmo, or other wallets

  • International bank accounts (outside of the U.S.)

Why savings accounts don’t work

Stripe requires accounts that can receive ACH direct deposits, which savings accounts often block or limit. Even if your bank provides a routing number, it doesn't guarantee the account supports payout transfers.
