Creating new games in Notch
Creating new games in Notch

Add games to Notch using two methods: Single Game Creation for quick, manual entry or CSV Import for bulk uploads.

Updated this week

When adding games in Notch, you have two options: Single Game Creation and CSV Import. Each method offers unique benefits, and knowing when to use each will help you manage competitions efficiently.

Before You Begin

Before adding games, we recommend setting up your competition in Notch, as many game creation steps rely on competition configurations.

Single Game Creation

If you only need to add one or two games, manually creating them is quick and easy:

  1. Log in to your assignor account at live.joinnotch.com/login or via the mobile app.

  2. Navigate to the Games section in your profile.

  3. Select 'New Game' and "Single Game."

  4. Input your game information via each of the dropdown fields that have been configured to your competition.

  5. Preview the information.

  6. If everything looks good, submit the game.

Once complete, your new game will appear in the Games screen.

CSV Imports

For bulk game creation, use the CSV import feature to upload hundreds of games in just a few steps:

  1. Navigate to the Games section in your profile.

  2. Select 'New Game' and "CSV Import."

  3. Select which competition you are importing games and click 'Next Step.'

  4. Download the game import template.

  5. Enter your game details into the template.

  6. Upload your .csv file and follow the steps to map your columns and validate your data.

For larger uploads of 1,000 or more games, it may take a few moments for all games to process. Once complete, they will appear in the Games screen, just like single game entries.
