π You're on the way to your first steps with Notch! This overview will walk you through some of the basics and help you understand a little about the evolving platform as an official.
Home Dashboard
When you first register you will be greeted with your profiles dashboard. This will be the main page you see each time you sign into your account and it provides helpful information for your upcoming games.
When you first sign up it will look at little like this -
Let's break this page down into a few key components. Starting from the top of the page you will see 4 filters: A search bar, date range filter, group filter, and a competition filter. Each of these will allow you to filter your games on the dashboard. A detailed breakdown is provided below.
Search Bar
This filter allows you to search your games using certain keywords such as game titles. For example - Soccer Stars Game #2.
View Date Range
The date range allows you to sort games by the date they are scheduled. You can either choose one of the preset filters (today, next 7 days, next 2 weeks, next month, etc.), or select a custom date range.
Group
This filter can sort your games by which group they belong to. If you only have one assignor, you may only see one group in this filter.
Competition
The competition filter allows you to filter your games by the competition in which they're played.
Moving on, you will notice the box containing your available funds and a breakdown of your games.
If your assignor uses Notch Pay for any of the games you officiate, you will see the "Available Payout" change as you are paid for games directly through Notch. If your assignor does not utilize Notch Pay, this amount will not change and you will receive your payments offline through your assignor.
Next to the "Available Payout" information, you will see 3 sections for Accepted Games, Games to Accept, and Games Requested. By clicking or tapping any of these 3 options you will change the games displayed at the bottom of the page.
My Games
While the dashboard gives you information for your games at a glance, the "My Games" page gives you a detailed list of your games. When you first register things may look a little bare, but as you begin to get assigned to games, they will appear in the middle of the screen like this -
You will notice that you have a current & past toggle at the top of the page. By default the games page will always show your current/future games, but if you want to see your past games, you can select "past" at the top of the screen.
Many of the filters here will look familiar to the main dashboard, and they function in the same way. However, you now have a filter to select your assignment status of the games in your group(s). We will go into greater detail on assignment status options later, but two key ones to know for now are Assigned/Unaccepted and Assigned/Accepted. These two filters will show your games where you have been assigned but haven't accepted the assignment and games where you are assigned and all set to officiate.
When you have requested a game, or have been assigned to a game, you can also pull up details for that game such as the field, location address, and even see the other officials who will be officiating the game with you by clicking or tapping the game entry under "My Games.β By doing so, you will be directed to a new screen with the game details like what is shown below β
Open Games
When you are invited to a group you, will be able to officiate games for that group. You can either request a game through the "Open Games" page, or your assignor may send you an assignment request to work a game.
On this page, you will see a list of any open games for any of the groups you are associated with. An example of which is shown below. Please note you will likely see more open games than this example.
As you can see in the example above, the entry will list some basic information about the game and what positions are available. If you want further details about the game such as its exact location, you can press the blue arrow next to any of the available positions to pull up more details.
To request a game from this page you only need to select the position you wish to officiate and press the blue "Request" button on the right. Doing this will send an email to the assignor to review your request, and if approved you will be notified via email.
Post Game
This screen will be used to submit a post game report to your assignor(s) if you are the head official for a game. An example of what this looks like is shown below -
On this screen, you will first notice several options at the top: Due, Flagged, Needs Approval, Approved, and Archived. These options break down as follows -
Due
You (the official) need to fill out the post game report.
Flagged
The post game report is flagged to your assignor about a change that requires them to add any adjustment statuses and/or save changes.
Needs Approval
The post game report has been submitted but it is pending review by your assignor.
Approved
The post game report has been reviewed by the assignor(s) and has been approved.
Archived
Past game reports for historical reference.
As a head official, you can click or tap on any of your games to bring up the post game report screen as shown below -
On the right-hand side of the screen, you can share key details about the game with your assignor. As the head official, you are also expected to confirm the attendance of other officials.
Once you have filled out all the required information you can submit your post game report by pressing the blue submit button on the bottom right-hand side of the screen.
Once submitted, your assignor will receive an email to review your post game report and you will receive an email when the assignor has reviewed your report.
My Wallet
As you begin to officiate games this will likely become one of your most frequented screens on the platform. If your assignor utilizes Notch Pay, you will see your balances on this page change as you get paid and you initiate payouts. If your assignor doesn't use Notch Pay, you can still use this page to track offline payments for past games under "Offline" transactions.
This screen has 3 main sections: Available Payout, Payment method(s), and Transactions.
Available Payout
The green Available Payout section will track your available Notch Pay funds and allow you to payout to your account(s). When you are ready to payout your available funds, you can go do so by selecting the green "Payout" button below the dollar amount.
Please note: If your assignor uses offline payment, you will not see this dollar amount change and you will be paid outside of Notch by your assignor.
As you can see in the screenshot above, when the payout button is selected you will be asked to confirm where you would like your funds deposited.
Payment Method(s)
In order to make any payouts you, will need to link either a credit card or a bank account to your profile. You can do so by clicking or tapping the plus (+) in the Payment Method section of the screen. Once you have clicked this button you will see a pop-up like this -
While this example shows a payment method is already added, you will be prompted to add your first payment method if one is not already available. You will be provided the option to choose either an instant payment (Credit Card) method (A 3% payment fee will apply to this method or minimum of $1.50) or an ACH (Bank Account) method. Once either of these are added to your account, you may begin to payout to your account(s).
Transactions
This section details your past earnings and payouts. You can toggle between games that were paid by Notch Pay or Offline payments by selecting "Notch Pay" or "Offline" below the "Transactions" header.
