Understanding Play Metrics

Updated today

Purpose:

This section explains all the metrics you’ll see in the Playbook tab and on the Details tab for each individual Play. These metrics help you measure the impact of your automated emails—so you can easily see which Plays are driving engagement, purchases, and revenue.

Playbook Tab Metrics (Across All Plays)

On the Playbook tab, you’ll see high-level performance data aggregated across all Plays:

1. Total Sends

The number of automated emails sent during your selected date range.

2. Total Conversions

Any patron who made a purchase as a result of a Play—regardless of which Play triggered it.

3. Gross Total

The total revenue generated from all Play-driven purchases.

📅 Date Range Filter

A date range filter at the top left allows you to refine these metrics to a specific window (e.g., last 7 days, last 30 days, last year). This gives you a clear, global view of how your automated Plays are performing over time.

Details Tab Metrics (Per Individual Play)

When you click into any specific Play and navigate to the Details tab, you’ll see the exact same metrics, but filtered to only that Play:

  • Total Sends for this Play

  • Conversions generated by this Play

  • Gross Total generated by this Play

This lets you compare Plays individually and understand which ones are driving the most engagement or purchases.

Patron-Level Metrics

Below the main metrics on each Play’s Details tab, you'll see a breakdown of patron-level data divided into two lists:

Converting Patrons

These patrons took action after receiving a Play email.

For each converting patron, you’ll see:

  • Name

  • Gross Total (revenue they generated from the Play)

  • Total Conversions (number of purchases)

  • Conversion Date

  • A link to their patron profile

This helps you identify your most responsive audience segments.

Non-Converting Patrons

These patrons received the Play email but have not yet made a purchase.

For each non-converting patron, you’ll see:

  • Name

  • A link to their patron profile

This list is helpful for understanding reach and identifying groups that may respond to alternative messaging or adjustments in your Plays.
