There may be a few reasons why you might need to exchange a ticket:

  • An event was cancelled and you are switching patrons into another published and live event

  • A patron needs to change the date they are attending your event

  • A patron can no longer attend an event and wants to switch into another published and live event

  • A patron wants to change seats in their current event

Issuing refunds or exchanges is a choice your organization gets to make; they are optional and at your discretion.

OTS cannot process these for you.

Exchange Walkthrough:

On your OTS Dashboard, click on Orders.

You can enter the First Name, Last Name, Confirmation ID or Patron Email to search for the order. You do not need to add all of those criteria to search. I find it easiest to search by email and then sort the results by order date.

Scroll down and click on the “Eye” of the order you’d like to view:

Scroll down to the bottom and click on Exchange Tickets:

Click on the opposing arrows exchange icon of the ticket(s) you’d like to exchange:

Select the show you would like to exchange to:

Select the Ticket Type and click Exchange:

Please note the screen is slightly different depending on your show types. See the images below.

General Admission Selection:

Reserved Seating Selection:

For general admission, you will select the price type and then push exchange.

For reserved seating events, you will select the exact seat and then push exchange.

Repeat process for every ticket you would like and then click Save and Exchange Tickets:

Click Yes:

Scroll down on the order to see the Exchange details:

Your patron will automatically get an updated Ticket Confirmation E-mail.

You can exchange tickets between different shows and show types, i.e. Live Show Ticket to Video On Demand Ticket.

🎭 Noteworthy: On The Stage does not calculate uneven exchanges. You are responsible for collecting or returning any difference in ticket price to or from the patron.
