Copying a Previous or Live Production

Learn how to copy a previous production to create a new production.

Here are a few reasons why you might want to copy a previous production:

  • Save Time: Quickly reuse event settings, ticket types, and page designs without starting from scratch.

  • Repeat Successful Shows: Easily replicate a past production that performed well, maintaining consistency.

  • Simplify Setup for Similar Events: Ideal for seasonal shows, school productions, or annual performances with similar formats.

  • Maintain Branding: Keep your event pages visually aligned with your organization’s style and past events.

👟Walk Through

From your OTS Dashboard, under the Productions tab, in the top right corner there is a red button that says Create New Event.

If you click on the down arrow chicklet, you will be able to select Duplicate Event.

Once you click Duplicate Event on the dropdown, you will need to press the red Duplicate button.

You will be prompted to select the event you would like to duplicate and add your new event name.

Copied information includes:

  • Ticketing Information like types and prices

  • Page Designs

  • Show Titles (Please reach out to your Account Manager or Customer Success Team to adjust this)

🎭 Noteworthy: When copying a production, you cannot change the production type.


Copy a Production from an Existing Event

Click on the show's Details button.

In the top right corner, click on More Actions. Click the down arrow. Select Duplicate Event.

Add the new event name and push Duplicate event:


🎓 Recap: Copying a Previous Production

To copy a previous production in On The Stage, click Create New on your dashboard, then select Copy a Previous Production. Choose the event you want to duplicate, enter a new event name, and click Create Event. This process copies your ticketing setup, page designs, and show titles (which can only be changed by contacting your Account Manager or Customer Success Team). Keep in mind that the original production type (e.g., Live, Streaming) cannot be changed when copying.
