Here are a couple reasons why you might want to change the date or time of your event:
you've decided on a better time for your production since creating your event.
you've chosen to reschedule your show date and/or time.
👟Walkthrough
Find the production from the Production menu and push the show's Details button.
Scroll down to the event that has the date or time you would like to change. Click Reschedule on the Actions chicklet.
Adjust to the new date and time and push the checkmark.
You will be prompted to alert ticket holders. Push save. When you reschedule a performance, ticket buyers are automatically notified via email. The system sends a custom message informing them of the change, and only patrons associated with the rescheduled performance will receive notifications.
Once you push Save, the new time/date will reflect on the dashboard immediately.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
Editing Performance Times: To edit a performance time, open the show details, select Performance List, and click the three dots next to the performance to open the options popup. From there, edit the performance time and save your changes.
System Restrictions: If the system does not allow you to edit the performance time (e.g., for unpublished events), delete the performance with the incorrect time and add a new performance with the correct time.
Ticket Validity and Patron Actions
Ticket Validity: Existing tickets remain valid after a time change, even if the performance is moved to an earlier time. Proactively notify ticket holders and post an announcement on your event page to reduce confusion.
Patron Actions: When a performance is rescheduled, tickets are automatically moved to the new date and time. If a patron cannot attend, exchanges to another performance must be handled through the box office. Refunds, if granted, must be processed manually. Alternatively, you may offer patrons the option to consider their ticket a donation. You can also send an email to attendees to ensure they are aware of the updates.
