Optional Ticketing Page Messages on Certain Show Dates

Updated over 2 weeks ago

There are a few reasons why you might want to/need to add an optional message to your website on select show dates. This might be:

  • To share important details like cast information, age restrictions, parking instructions, or accessibility options before purchase.

  • To highlight special notices—for example, mask requirements, COVID-19 policies, or unique venue protocols.

  • To provide group or session-specific info, such as reminders for multi-session events or signage for camp groups.

👟Walkthrough: Adding Messages to Specific Show Dates

Each show date has an Optional Message box below it on the Show Details page.

This is what the message looks like on the live ticketing page after publication:

🎓 Recap

On The Stage allows you to add a custom optional message on the ticketing page within the Show Details section. This message appears during checkout, offering buyers critical or helpful information before they complete their purchase.

🚀 Best Practices

  • Keep it concise—limit to 1–2 sentences so the message isn’t overlooked.

  • Stick to essential info only, like "No outside food allowed" or "Must be age 12 + to enter."

  • Update seasonally or per performance—if policies change or new notes are relevant.
