🎭Noteworthy: Your organization will need their OWN Mailchimp account to utilize this feature. A Mailchimp login is not provided by On The Stage.

Harness the power of data-driven marketing with our Mailchimp integration. OTS will automatically send tags to Mailchimp based on past patron behavior (show attendance, donations, add-on purchases, etc) so that organizations can send targeted, effective email campaigns that resonate with their audience, driving engagement, loyalty, and, ultimately, revenue.

1. Select "Settings" from your On The Stage dashboard menu.

2. In the Settings menu click on Integrations Hub.

Step 2 screenshot

3. You will see options to add your Google Analytics tag, Facebook Pixel and integrate with Mailchimp. Check the Integrate with Mailchimp box.

Step 3 screenshot

4. Now it's time to create an API key for On The Stage to use to manage users in your Mailchimp audience.

Log in to your Mailchimp account. Click on your profile picture in the upper right corner to access account settings.

6. On your Account screen select the Extras menu.

Step 6 screenshot

7. Choose "API keys" from the Extras menu.

Step 7 screenshot

8. You're now on the Mailchimp API configuration page. Look for the "Create A Key" button midway down the page and select it.

Step 8 screenshot

9. Give your new API key a name. We recommend using onthestage in the API key name so that you can more easily remember for what it is used.

For our example we've chosen "onthestage-mailchimp".

Step 9 screenshot

Step 10 screenshot

11. Click on Copy To Clipboard. Important! You won't be able to see this API key again. We recommend saving it in a text file on your computer in case you need it again in the future.

Step 11 screenshot

12. Back on your On The Stage dashboard paste your API key into the input field. In our example "fa8a29402057348dc2c54219705e1802-us21" is our API key.

Step 12 screenshot

13. Click on Save.

Step 13 screenshot

14. On The Stage will then fetch a list of all the audiences you have defined in Mailchimp. Select the audience you want to add your On The Stage patrons to from the dropdown menu.

Step 14 screenshot

15. In our example we have only one audience. Select MTNorth Enterprises and click save.

Step 15 screenshot

16. That's it! Now any time a patron makes a purchase or donation through on the stage they will be added to your Mailchimp audience.

Step 16 screenshot

17. In addition to mailing list status, On The Stage shares information about what the patron purchased using tags.
