When you edit an email, you can do the following:

  • Use one of the custom variables-- such as being able to add in the Patron’s first name anywhere you choose. Use this somewhere in the email.

  • Change the subject line (ensure you hit save after)

  • Change the header, which is the top portion of the email that appears on all customizable emails (ensure you hit save after)

  • Change the image. You can crop the image in any way you choose.

  • Change the copy in the body. This is the same as it is in the Order Confirmation section.

  • Change the copy of the call to action.

    • Note that this will redirect to the tickets page OR the Marketing Redirect

  • Enable/disable the email.

    👟Walkthrough

  • Access the Promo Campaigns under the Marketing tab in the dashboard. From here you can edit and update desired information.

You can send a test email to the address of your choice to see what your patron will see!

🎓 Recap

The Platinum Plan for On The Stage includes a Promo Email builder where you can create fully branded, personalized promotional messages. Set up your template once—then reuse it across shows by updating key details like show name, date, or links.

🚀 Best Practices

  • Personalize with merge tags (e.g., patron name, show title) to improve engagement.

  • Write clear subject lines that highlight the offer and spark curiosity.

  • Include a strong CTA—make it visually distinct and action-oriented (e.g., “Get Tickets Now”).

  • Use a compelling header image and visually consistent styling to strengthen branding.

  • Preview in various email apps and on both desktop and mobile before sending.

  • Test with internal users (team/previews) to spot mistakes before launch.

  • Repurpose your template—swap in new dates, images, links for future campaigns.
