Scheduling a message allows you to plan ahead and stay on top of client communication, even when you’re busy. This feature frees up your time while ensuring that messages are sent at the optimal time for your customers. Follow this step-by-step guide to learn how to schedule a text message in advance

1. Login into your OneLocal dashboard here
2. Once logged in, click on the LocalMessages tab on the left side of your dashboard
3. Click New Message and type in the name or phone number of the customer. If they’re already saved in your contacts, their details will appear below for easy selection
4. If you’ve had previous conversations with the customer, LocalMessages will automatically pull up the existing message thread. If not, a new thread will be started
5. Type the message you wish to send in the provided text box
6. Instead of clicking Send, look for the clock icon on the right side of the message box. When you hover over it, you’ll see the option to Schedule a Message. Click on this icon:
7. Select the desired date and time for your message to be sent. After choosing, click Set Schedule to confirm
8. Once your message is scheduled, you’ll return to the conversation thread. Click Send Later to finalize the scheduling
9. The scheduled message will now appear in your conversation thread, where you can view it at any time. It won’t be sent until the date and time you specified
