A Privacy Policy is a legal document that outlines how an organization handles any collected information from the user. This is a document that protects both the organization as well as the user.

What are the benefits of having a Privacy Policy:

Legally required if you collect personal information from users

  • It is a mandatory requirement If you want to run a Lead Ads campaign on Facebook and Google. Our Ads Team may suggest to use this type of campaign because it creates a smoother transition of a visitor becoming a customer for that service. For example on Facebook, a form will appear natively on the ad after the user clicks on the ad, allowing a more seamless user experience with signing up for the service.

Third parties will require a Privacy Policy

  • We use third party services like Google Analytics to track and optimize performance. These services require this Privacy Policy in order to display ads or collect website data

It signals credibility and compliance

  • Users would feel more secure and comfortable when providing personal information knowing that there is a legal statement showcasing how this information is being handled.

  • This could increase the quality score of the site too because it shows transparency to the user. A good quality score will increase the probability of your ads and website to reach the top of the page.

How To Implement this

Best practice is to make the Privacy Policy easily accessible and conspicuous to establish transparency with the visitors. This involves adding the Privacy Policy in various locations, such as website menu, lead-generation form and website footer.

If OneLocal is creating a landing page for you, we will ensure the privacy policy is accessible in all the appropriate areas!

If the ad leads to your website, it will be strongly recommended for you to adhere to these guidelines. Please note that it is mandatory to provide a link for where the Privacy Policy is stored. We will need this link in order to create the Leads Ads campaign. But don't worry, a copy of the text will be provided to you so you can easily create a section or page for it.
