Here are a few reminders and best practices to note with patient data, privacy and security.

  • Ensure that every employee that requires access to your dashboard has separate logins. Shared logins should be avoided when accessing the dashboard.

  • Avoid entering sensitive medical data (Health plan beneficiary number, social security number, medical record number, etc) that is not required or relevant to the initial check-in process and to be hosted on the OneLocal dashboard.

  • Leveraging auto log off and screensavers on all devices with access to the OneLocal dashboard.

  • Limiting access to the OneLocal dashboard to be only from work or office identified devices is recommended to reduce others gaining access to any PHI.

  • Businesses should avoid downloading and storing PHI directly on any computers as networks and cloud storage may be more secure.
