Our team is excited to get started on enhancing your online presence! Before we move forward, we'll need access to a few key platforms to ensure a smooth setup. This guide will outline the platforms we require, explain why they're needed and provide some common examples to help you get started

Website Logins (also known as CMS or Content Management System)

Your CMS is the platform you use to log in and make updates to your website content

Common CMS Platforms:

  • WordPress

  • Wix

  • Squarespace

  • Weebly

In some cases, the CMS also serves as your hosting provider (e.g., Wix, which acts as both a website builder and hosting service). In other cases (like WordPress), your CMS is separate from your hosting provider, meaning your website files are stored elsewhere

Why We Need Access

Our team will need access to your CMS to make updates and improvements directly to your website, ensuring a smooth setup process and allowing us to implement changes as needed

Domain Logins

Your domain provider is the service where your domain name (e.g., onelocal.com) is registered and managed. The domain name directs customers to your website by pointing to the location of your website files

Why We Need Access

To launch and properly connect your new website, we'll need access to your domain provider. This allows us to configure the necessary settings to ensure visitors can reach your website smoothly

How to Identify Your Domain Provider

If you're unsure who your domain provider is, there are a couple of tools you can use to find out:

  1. ICANN Lookup Tool
The ICANN lookup tool allows you to search for details about your domain registration. It will show the registrar (your domain provider) and other relevant information related to your domain

  2. BuiltWith
BuiltWith is another helpful tool that provides detailed information about your website, including:

    • Website Hosting Provider

    • Name Server (Domain Provider)

    • CMS (Content Management System)

Common Domain Providers:

  • GoDaddy

  • Domain.com

  • Enom

  • Namecheap

  • Bluehost

  • DreamHost

Website Hosting Logins

Your website hosting provider is where the actual files for your website are stored. This is the location your domain name connects to so that visitors can access your website

Why We Need Access

Having access to your hosting provider is essential so we can:

  • Make updates to your website files

  • Transfer files to our platform if necessary

  • Backup your site files for security

Common Hosting Providers

Some hosting providers offer both website and domain hosting:

  • SiteGround

  • Bluehost

  • HostGator

  • GoDaddy (offers both website and domain hosting)

  • DreamHost (offers both website and domain hosting)

  • Wix (CMS with website and domain hosting)

  • Squarespace (CMS with website and domain hosting)

Access to your hosting provider allows us to manage your website effectively and ensure smooth functionality and updates

CRM Logins

In some cases, we may need access to your CRM (Customer Relationship Management) platform to set up an integration with LocalReviews. Your CRM is where you manage client information, appointments, and other key business interactions

Common CRM Platforms

  • Jane App

  • Mindbody

  • Jobber

  • Booker

  • AestheticsPro

By providing CRM access, we can set up the integration seamlessly, helping you maximize the benefits of LocalReviews in your client management processes

Instagram Logins

We may need access to your Instagram account in two scenarios:

  1. If you’re using LocalContent, so we can manage and post content on your behalf

  2. If you’re building a new website with LocalSite and would like to display an Instagram feed on your website

Google Analytics (GA) and Google Search Console (GSC) Access

If you already have accounts set up for Google Analytics and/or Google Search Console, please grant us access by adding OneLocal as a user instead of sharing your login details. This approach is secure, and it only takes a few steps on each platform

Why We Need Access

Access to GA and GSC allows us to:

  • Track and analyze your website’s performance.

  • Monitor search visibility and optimize your online presence.

  • Generate insights that drive data-backed improvements for your site.

How to Grant Access

Check out these step-by-step guides for instructions:

Adding us as a user ensures we can manage analytics and search data efficiently while keeping your account secure.

What If I Don’t Know My Login Details?

If you’re unsure about your login information, here are some steps to help locate it:

  1. Reach Out to Your Previous Provider

If you didn’t manage your website setup, try contacting your previous provider. They should be able to inform you of:

    • Your domain provider

    • Where your website files are hosted

    • Any missing login credentials

  2. Contact Us

If you’re still unable to find this information, don’t hesitate to reach out! We’re here to help identify where your website details may be stored and guide you through the next steps

If you have further questions, reach out to our OneLocal support team through the orange chat bubble in the bottom right corner of your screen. We're here to help!
