Having the correct flows setup on your LocalResponse bot is important to ensure your customers can have their needs met when they can't connect with you directly.

Let's start by navigating to the Flow Configuration section of your OneLocal dashboard. Go to:

  • Settings > LocalMessages > LocalResponse > Flow Configuration

You can add new flows by clicking "Add a Flow" in the top right, edit an existing flow by clicking the pencil icon next to it, rearrange the order using the arrows, or delete a flow by selecting the trash can.

After any flow edits are completed, don't forget to review your Greeting Message to ensure it matches your newly updated menu options.

Different Flows

  1. Book an Appointment - All businesses should have a Call to Action (CTA) that is the business' main goal for leads and customers. This should ideally link to a booking software where availability can be reviewed.

  2. Reschedule or Cancel an Appointment - it can be challenging for a customer to reschedule appointments so offering this option on your menu will take care of this particular need.

  3. Request Callback/Quote/Estimate - Your service may be more complicated than just booking an appointment so offering an option for a follow-up call or quote may be a better CTA for your business.

  4. FAQ - There may be common questions your customers call you with and including 1 or all as part of an FAQ is recommended to share these commonly sought-after pieces of information.

  5. Directions - is your business hard to find? if so maybe you should consider including some directions on your menu to guide your lost customers.

  6. Pricing - If you include your price list right on your website, your leads will see this and be able to compare you vs the competition. Including your price list in a place like LocalResponse instead of your website means that customers need to connect with you to collect these details exchanging their contact info for it.

  7. Speak to a Representative - There may be multiple employees at your business and you may need someone to be reachable for many different reasons. We can forward an incoming call to any phone number to ensure your potential customers get the help they need!

  8. Emergency - Do you offer emergency services? we can have your incoming calls forwarded to your cell phone to connect with leads needing help with an emergency any time of the day!

  9. Referrals - A great way to get more traffic on your Referral Program is to advertise it! Including a flow for LocalReferrals will help increase visibility.

  10. Voicemail - Every business needs a voicemail, this can be selected by your caller or if a caller doesn't have a cell phone to receive a text message, voicemail is a great alternative.

These are just suggestions for the most popular flow options, but these are not the only options you have available. Get creative and connect with your Marketing Specialist if you need further assistance!
