Benchmark groups allow you to organize benchmarks within a standard into one or more strands. While most schools create a single group that contains all benchmarks, others separate lower- and higher-level skills into multiple groups. Creating one or more groups gives you the flexibility to build standards-based report cards that meet the needs of all students.

To get started, log in to jmc Office and head to Standards and Benchmarks > Definitions > Edit Benchmark Groups.

Step One: Click the "Add" button to create a new benchmark group or select an existing benchmark group and click the "Edit" button to update it.

Step Two: Enter a unique number/letter combination in the "ID" field and a title in the "Benchmark Group Name" field to identify the group.

Step Three: Click the "Save" button to add or update the benchmark group or click the "Cancel" button to discard your changes.

Helpful Tip: To remove an existing benchmark group, select the group and click the "Delete" button.
