Run a "For a Day" Period Attendance report

Track absent/tardy students on any given day with jmc's "For a Day" Period Attendance report.

Keep track of student absences and tardiness with ease using jmc's "For a Day" attendance report, which allows you to quickly generate a list of unaccounted students by selecting the date and student range. Customize your report by including specific grades and additional details like period comments or general comments. Plus, if you need the report generated automatically, simply schedule it to be sent daily to your preferred staff member(s) with just a few clicks.

Head to Period Attendance > Reports > For A Day to run and print a list of students marked tardy or absent for any period throughout the day.

Step One: Click a date from the "Days" box to specify a date for the "For a Day" Period Attendance report.

Step Two: Select grade range in the "From" and "To" drop-down list to specify the grades included in the report.

Helpful Tip: Place a checkmark in the appropriate checkbox(s) to organize and/or include additional details in your report.

  • Sort by Grade: organize your report by grade level

  • Show Period Comments: includes period comments from the Edit Attendance page

  • Show General Comment: include the "General Comment" from the Edit Attendance page

Step Three: Click the "Print" button to print the "For a Day" period attendance report or click the "Export" button to export it to a CSV file.

Fun Fact: The "Print" button will remain disabled until you select a day that contains student absences.

Step Four (optional): Place a checkmark in the “Schedule Report” checkbox to automatically schedule the report to be sent daily to office professionals.

Step Five (optional): Enter a start date or simply click the calendar icon to set the beginning date for the automated report.


Step Six (optional): Enter a start time or simply click the alarm clock icon to set the time for the automated report.

Step Seven (optional): Enter an email address or multiple email addresses separated by a comma to send the report to a specific staff member(s).

Step Eight (optional): Click the "Save" button to finish scheduling the "For a Day" period attendance report.
