Updated over 3 weeks ago

Add a New Athlete

  1. Go to your Main dashboard on the Ontracx Pro platform.

  2. Click the ‘Add Athlete’ button at the top right.

Depending on whether the athlete already has an OnTracx account:

Athlete does NOT have an account:

Fill in the required fields:

  • Email address

  • Personal information

Fill in the optional fields that are needed to create a load tolerance profile:

  • Physical information:

    • Age

    • BMI

    • Injuries in the past

    • Current pain

    • Running experience

    • Experience in other impact sports

  • Injury history

ℹ️ When you create an athlete in the platform, they will receive an email at the address you provided. The athlete can use this email to log in to the app and set up their account. If their load tolerance profile has already been completed on the platform, the related onboarding questions will not appear in the app.

Make sure to guide your athlete to complete the OnTracx app setup.

Athlete already has an account:

  • Only enter the athlete’s email address.

  • Existing information is automatically filled.

  • Update any details if you want to generate a tolerance profile.

Generate Tolerance Profile & Advised Load Progression

The platform uses the onboarding info to create:

  • Tolerance profile (High / Medium / Low)

  • Advised load progression (% weekly load increase)

    • Low tolerance profile: +8% in load

    • Medium tolerance profile: +15% in load

    • High tolerance profile: +20% in load

The load tolerance profile and the associated load progression percentage allows you to gradually increase the experienced load in the return-to-run phase, and this on an individual basis.

To consult the tolerance profile and the advised load progression, you just click on the athlete's name in the platform, and the information will appear in a new screen.

At the top, you’ll see the athlete’s load tolerance profile and the advised load progression. Below, you can view how each parameter contributes to the tolerance profile.

ℹ️ You can edit the athlete’s information or adjust the advised load progression at any time.

✅ Your athlete is all set—let’s go for a run and measure the load!
