What is a Trigger Template

Triggers allow you to set up automation throughout the transaction. Creating trigger templates gives you a head start with each transaction because you can apply them so you are not trying to figure out what triggers go to which transactions. Templates will speed up the process.

This article will teach you the basics of managing your trigger templates. To start, let's go over the different types of triggers. Regardless of the trigger type, you can use them to send emails, texts, or add/remove templates, field sections, or fields.

  • Property Triggers - triggers inside a property. The template, field section, and field triggers actively "listen" to know when to add or remove the trigger function automatically.

  • Task Triggers - triggers that are attached to tasks and activated when a task is completed or past due.

  • Intake Form Template Triggers - triggers that are activated when an intake form is submitted or approved.

  • Inbound Webhook Triggers - triggers that are activated once a data request comes through and is approved.

All Categories

Adding and using categories can help you organize your templates in such a way that it makes the template easier to locate.

To create different categories, click on All Categories. This will open a text box where you can type in the category name before clicking on Add.

If you need to change any of your current categories, click on Manage Categories.

From here, you can edit the name of an existing category or delete it entirely.

Once you have your category created, go to the trigger template on the right side and select which one you want to use with each template.

Now go back to the All Categories button and select the category you want to sort your templates by. This will change the All Categories button to what you have selected and filter your template list by it as well.

Sort Templates

If you are working on specific templates and need them at the top of your templates list, you can sort them into the order you need. To do this, click on Sort Templates and drag and drop the templates you need into your desired order.

Add New

To create a new trigger template, click on Add New. Give the template a name, and select the specific type of trigger template you want to create before clicking Create Template.

Please Note:

Be sure you are selecting the correct type of trigger template since you cannot change it once it has been created. You would need to delete the template and start over.

Search Bar and Renaming a Template

The search box allows you to easily find the template you are looking for, especially if you have numerous trigger templates saved in your system.

To rename a template, click on the name and type in the change. Be sure to save your work by clicking the checkmark to the right of the template name.

Edit and Options

You can modify your trigger templates by clicking on the Edit link. This takes you to your trigger template details where you can build out your triggers.

To clone or delete a trigger template, click on Options. Select the option you need and follow the prompts.
