If you are importing email templates in to your account from another document or software, you may need to clean them so the merge fields match up with what is used in Open To Close.
Make sure you are on the Email Templates page and click on Clean Templates. This will give you the option to find the merge field format that was used in your imported emails by clicking on the drop down in the center.
For example, if your imported email templates use merge fields that look like this, [[merge_field]], you would select that option from the choices in the drop down. This allows the cleaning tool to find and replace the original merge field with the merge field we use, which is {{merge_field}}.
Once you have the merge field selected that matches your imported email templates, click on Scan Templates for the cleaner to update any merge field that needs to match our format.
