Track the performance of your email & SMS broadcasts

Use this guide to understand the performance data available for your email and SMS broadcasts.

Delivery metrics (Broadcasts)

Metric

Definition

Recipients

The total number of messages that are scheduled to be sent.

Cancelled

Messages not sent due to a variety of reasons, including duplicate fan emails or running out of unique codes.

Pending

Messages scheduled, but not yet sent (or cancelled).

Sent / Sent %

Messages released from Openstage's servers.

Bounced / Bounce Rate

Undelivered messages due to an incorrect or inactive contact.

Delivered / Delivery Rate

Sent messages that successfully reached fans’ inboxes. This is usually lower than the true number, due to fan permission and software settings.

Opens / Open Rate

The number of delivered messages that have been opened.

Clicks / Click-Through Rate

The number of unique clicks on opened messages.

Unsubscribes / Unsubscribe Rate

Fans who clicked unsubscribe in your message. You cannot reach them via the same contact method in the future, or until they resubscribe.

Complaints / Complaint Rate

Fans who reported spam.


Earnings metrics

Earnings represent revenue tracked across your business from transactions facilitated through Openstage - via connected stores such as Shopify, or uploaded manually via a sales data import.

Note: Earnings attributed to a specific broadcast are generated by fans who click an ecommerce link in that broadcast and complete a purchase in that store within 72 hours of the click.

Total revenue generated.

Buyers

Number of unique fans who made a purchase.

Units

Total units sold.

Cost

Total campaign costs related to earnings (currently SMS only).

Return on Investment (ROI)

Earnings divided by Cost.
