⚙️ Account Setup

Make sure you are setup for success by completing your account setup

Written by Chris Parks

Before running any fan-facing campaigns and collecting fan data, complete your account setup. A fully configured account ensures your communications reach fans correctly and your data is attributed accurately.

Artist settings

Navigate to Settings > Artist Settings to personalize your account. From here you can update:

  • Profile picture

  • Artist type - controls whether communications use "my" or "our"

  • Artist currency - sets the currency displayed for transactions imported into or synced with Openstage

  • Streaming links - for connecting DSPs and enabling pre-saves

  • Social links - for populating your Fan HQ and landing pages automatically

Note: Click Save after making any changes in Artist Settings.

Reply-to email address

A reply-to email address must be added to Artist Settings before any email broadcasts can be sent. Fan replies to your email broadcasts go directly to this inbox - they do not appear anywhere in Openstage.

🟡 Please note: Fan replies to email broadcasts can only be found in your reply-to email inbox. They are not visible within Openstage.

🟢 Top tip: Use a paid domain email address with your artist name as part of the domain - for example, info@artistname.com. Avoid freemail domains such as @gmail.com or @outlook.com. Using a freemail address increases the chance your email broadcasts/Posts land in fan spam folders rather than their primary inbox.

Streaming links

Adding your streaming links in Artist Settings connects your DSPs and enables fans to forever pre-save on Spotify, Apple Music, and Deezer. Once a fan pre-saves, pre-save broadcasts can push releases and playlists directly to their DSP library.

See Set Up a Pre-save Broadcast for more detail.

Social links

Adding your social links in Artist Settings populates them automatically on your Fanpage and landing pages.

🟡 Please note: Social links do not populate automatically in the email builder and must be added manually to email broadcasts. Posts do use these links - the Socials block and Connect DSP block in Posts pull directly from the social and streaming links set in Artist Settings.

Compliance

Configure your fan terms and privacy policy under Settings > Compliance before running any fan-facing campaigns. Openstage provides default templates, or you can set your own. The Compliance section also covers how to manage fan data deletion requests.

🔴 Please note: Fan terms and privacy policy must be configured before collecting fan data through any campaign.
