Everyone on your OrderSync team has a role: Owner, Admin or Member. Your role decides what you can change. Everyone can view your purchase orders. Only owners and admins can add people, stores or supplier connections.

Owner
The owner has full access to everything in your company. Each company has one owner, usually the person who set up OrderSync. The owner can't be removed from the team, and you can't choose Owner when inviting someone.
Admin
Admins can do everything the owner can: invite teammates, change roles, add stores, connect suppliers and manage settings in Admin. Give this role to people who set up and run OrderSync day to day.
Member
Members can see your orders and keep up with what's happening, but they can't change your setup. They can't invite teammates, add stores or connect suppliers. Members is the default role for new invites. It's a good fit for buyers and staff who only need to track orders.
Company level vs. store level
Roles are set separately at two levels:
Company role: what someone can do across your whole company, including company-wide settings in Admin.
Store role: what someone can do in each store they have access to. A person can have a different role at each store.
Example: Sam manages your Cedar Rapids store. You make Sam an Admin of the Cedar Rapids store and a Member at the company level. Sam can invite store staff and connect suppliers for Cedar Rapids, but can't change company-wide settings or add new stores to the company.
You set both roles when you invite someone. In the invite form, choose their Company role, then a store and their Role at that store under Retailer access. (Stores were previously called retailers, and the app may still use that label.) See How to invite team members.
Changing someone's role
Owners and admins can change a teammate's role at the level where they're an admin: the company, the store, or both.
1. Go to Admin → Team. To change a company role, open Admin from the company view. To change a store role, switch to that store first.
2. Click Change Role next to the teammate.
3. Pick the new role and click Update Role.
The change takes effect right away. You can also change the role of someone whose invite is still pending.
Which role should I choose?
Admin for people who set up and manage OrderSync: inviting staff, adding stores, connecting supplier logins.
Member for everyone else who just needs to see orders and their status.
For a store manager, choose Admin of their store and Member at the company level.
If you're a member and need to do something your role doesn't allow, ask your company's owner or an admin to change your role.
