How to invite an applicant to Orka Check

You're all set up on Orka Check and it's time to invite your first applicant!

There are essentially 2 pathways...

Adding an applicant you would like to hire from Orka Works

You had a great experience after having an Orka Works officer work shifts on your temp-to-perm job, and now it's time to request a permanent hire!

After requesting to make the permanent hire on the Orka Works platform, your Customer Success Manager (CSM) will send you the candidate's National Insurance (NI) number and other information.

You will then go onto Orka Check, and press the "Invite Applicant" button in the top right.

Next, enter the applicant's NI number.

Since you are inviting an applicant that is part of our community of workers, you will be shown the candidate's worker passport in which some information is cancelled out. You are prompted to fill in additional information (e.g., full name, phone number, and email address) to ensure that this is the same candidate you are looking to invite.

Once you can see that it is a match, you are able to "Buy" the candidate.

If the candidate's worker passport is all up to date, they will automatically fall into the "Full" bucket on the dashboard.

Adding an external applicant

If you have done some recruiting internally and would like to use Orka Check to vet your candidates and ensure they are fully compliant with BS7858 standards, this is how you do just that.

Like with adding an applicant that you would like to hire from Orka Works, you will have to initially add the candidate's NI number.

If the candidate is already part of our community of workers, you can follow the same steps listed above in the "Adding an applicant you would like to hire from Orka Works" section.

If you receive this message after entering the candidate's NI number, then enter the details you are prompted for.

⚠️ It is really important that you double-check that the details you have received from your applicant are correct as incorrect information can drastically slow down the vetting process.

Once you have done this, an invitation will be sent to the candidate to create an account and complete their application form.

⚠️ It is really important that you let your external applicant know that Orka will be in touch with them to carry out compliance checks on behalf of your company.

It is also useful for you to share our Orka Check document guidelines so they know exactly what they need in order to receive a fully compliant status.

What are the main differences between the 2 pathways?

By leveraging both Orka Works and Check, you are able to gain faster access to our community of workers resulting in less costs (both direct and hidden) associated with traditional recruiting methods within the FM industry.

Therefore, by having the NI feature, pathway 1 will result in you being able to continue making fully vetted hires efficiently by truly embracing the integration between Orka Works and Orka Check.
