Search by NI Number

As we continue to build upon the revolutionary tool within the security industry that is Orka Check, we just released an enhanced search feature!

This new feature helps you quickly find workers who may already be part of our community of fully compliant and vetted candidates. This is done by searching for a candidate's National Insurance (NI) number.

What does this mean for you?

  • Quicker vetting process for you. For example, if you are trying to invite an external applicant through Check, searching by their NI number removes the manual checks our team has to make to ensure they aren't already in our system. And if they are part of our community of fully compliant workers, you can "buy" the applicant instantly!

  • Avoiding duplicates. By searching for something as unique as an NI number, we can give a 100% confirmation whether we have the candidate already in our system or not without having to rely on accurate email addresses, phone numbers, and names (as mistakes may happen sometimes when candidates give you their information!)

So how does it work?

Watch the video above to see it in action.

There are essentially 2 pathways:

πŸ‘£ Pathway 1

When you're looking to do a temp to perm (SmartStaff) hire, you will have sent us a request to hire the applicant permanently via Orka Works. You will then go into Orka Check to invite that Orka applicant.

You will be prompted to enter their NI number (which you will get from us).

If the NI number of the applicant matches a candidate we have on our database, you should be able to see an excerpt of the candidate's Worker Passport.

You will then enter the candidate's details to ensure that the information matches with the candidate found in our system. If the information matches, you are able to immediately "Buy" the candidate. If the candidate's Worker Passport is all up to date, they will automatically fall into the "Full" bucket on the Check dashboard.

πŸ‘£ Pathway 2

If you're wanting to check an external applicant, you will also have to initially enter their NI number. Since it is an external applicant, there will be no record of the candidate in our system.

You will then be prompted to invite the applicant, by entering their details (full name, phone number, and email - make sure to double check that these details are correct!).

Once you have entered these details and sent the invite to the candidate, they will have to send us their information and documentation to be vetted.

It is imperative to let your external applicant know that Orka will be conducting the compliance checks and what information they need to provide so that expectations are managed.
