How to request a permanent hire

Here's how to request a permanent hire of a worker once you have tried them out on Orka Works!

Once you have successfully selected a worker to trail on your site, and you think that they are fantastic (and so does your client), you can now request to permanently hire them. This means that you're looking to transfer them over to your company as a permanent worker.

Requesting a permanent hire is super easy!

  1. Go onto the job that you posted on the portal

  2. Click on the worker's profile that you would like to request a permanent hire for

  3. Click on "Request to permanently hire". This will then notify us of your request so we can keep track of your hires.

Platform customers - what do I do next?

As a platform customer, you will have access to Orka Check.

Once you have requested the permanent hire on Orka Works, we will be notified of this and send you the information that you need to put the worker through Orka Check (the worker's NI number, full name, email address, and phone number).

You will be able to see their worker passport and obtain their screening file by clicking on the "Buy now" button. Their screening file will then appear in the "Full" bucket on the Orka Check dashboard.

All you have to do then is process that file with your internal HR team to transfer the worker over to your company. It's that simple!


Non-platform customers: what do I do next?

The costs associated with hiring a permanent worker for non-platform customers on Orka Works are based on the hours they have worked for your company. This is the breakdown of the costs:

Costs will incur VAT. and all hours prior to 'temp to perm' conversion are to be recorded via the Orka Works app. 📲
Any concessions are to be made at Orka Work’s discretion.
