Overview of Volume Discounts & Form Fields
Edlio Payments (OSP) allows administrators to incentivize bulk purchases through automated volume pricing tiers and collect customized student information through custom questionnaire form fields.
đĄ Best-Practice Adoption Tip: When setting up custom form fields (such as t-shirt sizes, parent phone numbers, or allergy notices), always enforce the Unique Label Rule. Giving each field a distinct, descriptive label (e.g., Student_TShirt_Size rather than just Size) ensures clean, uncorrupted Excel exports when downloading order reports.
Building Custom Form Fields
To collect specific student details alongside payment:
Navigate to Products, edit an item, and select the Form Fields tab.
Click Add Field to insert a new question row.
Choose the appropriate Field Type:
String: Single-line open text for student names, phone numbers, or short notes.
Date: Date picker for birthdates, emergency contact verification, or physical exam dates.
List: Dropdown picklist containing predefined choices (e.g., Small, Medium, Large, XL).
Enter the Field Label.
Check the Required box if purchasers must fill out the field before they can add the item to their cart.
Click Save.
Configuring Volume Pricing Discounts
To establish discounted pricing for bulk purchases (such as PE uniforms, dance tickets, or family passes):
Select the Volume Pricing tab in the product editor.
Enter the minimum quantity threshold (e.g.,
Buy 5 or more).Specify the adjusted unit price or percentage discount.
When parents add the qualifying quantity to their shopping cart, Edlio Pay automatically calculates and displays the discounted subtotal.
