Organization is the first item in the Accounting Settings menu. It holds your school's basic identifying information and fiscal-year configuration.
What you configure here
School name — the name of your school or district.
Fiscal year start — the month your fiscal year begins (e.g., July for a July–June fiscal year).
Current school year — the active fiscal year the system operates in.
Time zone — your school's time zone, used for timestamps on transactions and reports.
Currency — the currency used for all amounts (US schools use US dollars).
Fiscal year naming convention
Fiscal years are typically named by the years they include, such as 2026-2027 for July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027.
