If you want to apply an automatic discount/credit to a specific household for a future registration, follow these steps:
1. Search for the household within Members and click on the Household name.
2. Scroll down the page to the Household Discounts area and click Add New Discount.
3. Fill in the appropriate fields as indicated below.
βNote: You can associate the discount with a specific player and season for the discount to apply toward. Be sure to select the REGISTRANT and NOT the coach/volunteer (since there is no fee associated with volunteer registrations). If you do not associate a player/season, then the discount will be applied to the next registration with discountable fees. Discounts won't apply to zero-dollar orders or non-discountable fees.
4. The Discount/Credit will show as Unapplied until used.
Note: We recommend that the household discount be equivalent to or less than the registration fee. It does not work like a gift card. It will use the discount in its entirety when applied to registration. If the discount is larger than the registration fee, the remaining balance will be lost (or a new household discount would have to be added for the unused balance).
One potential solution to this is to break the discount down into smaller increments. For example, instead of a single $100 household discount, you can add ten $10 discounts. That way, if the registration fee is $75, 8 out of the 10 discounts would get applied, leaving $20 worth of discounts on the household for a future registration.
