Custom Data Management: Changes to "Households" and Members Data Categories

Administrators are able to collect custom data (birth certificates, member notes, etc.) related to their Households, Household Members, Registration Participants, and Volunteers to track different information across each group or role separately.

You can add the custom data fields by going to the navigation and selecting Settings > Data. Click the Custom Data, and you'll see the following four data categories where custom fields can be added:

  • Household Info

  • Household Members

  • Registrant Participants

  • Seasonal Volunteers

All pre-existing data fields under the previous "Household Members" category have been migrated to the new "Registration Participants" category.

All pre-existing "Household Members" data/values for individuals are migrated to the new corresponding "Registration Participants" data attributes.

Any new custom data attributes that are created under the new "Household Info" category are displayed:

  • When viewing the Household Management page

  • When editing an existing Household in the "Edit Household Information" dialog

  • When manually adding a new Household in the "Create New Household" dialog

  • On Step 1.2 - HOUSEHOLD INFORMATION in Public Registration

Any new custom data attributes that are created under the new "Household Members" category are displayed:

  • When editing an existing Household Member in the "Edit Household Member" dialog

  • When adding a new Household Member in the "Create New Household Member" dialog

  • On Step 2.1-IDENTIFY PARTICIPANT in Public Registration under the existing section titled "Additional Information"

  • On Step 2.3 or 2.6-VOLUNTEER OPTIONS in Public Registration under a new section titled "Additional Information".

Any new custom data attributes that are created under the new "Registration Participants" category are displayed on Step 2.1 - IDENTIFY PARTICIPANT in Public Registration under a new section titled "Additional Participant Information."

Any new custom data attributes that are created under the new "Volunteers" category are displayed on Step 2.3 or 2.6 - VOLUNTEER OPTIONS in Public Registration under a new section titled "Additional Volunteer Information."
