Adding Team Names for Post-Training Event Creation

Team names are not required when creating a training event or training event series, but can be added later. Follow the steps below to add teams to a training event if they were not previously added when initially creating the event.

Manually add a team name for a single event:

1. Using the search box or column filters, locate the training event and click the edit button adjacent to the listing.

2. Click on the Team dropdown menu to locate the team you wish to assign to the training event. The menu selection will be organized in the same manner as the seasonal structure for the respective season.

3. Once the team has been selected, click Save.

The team will now be listed as assigned to the training on the Training Schedules report. Click on the team name to be taken to the Team Page where the event will be listed on the Team’s Calendar view.

Manually add a team name to an event series:

1. Using the search box or column filters, locate one of the events within the training event series and click the edit button adjacent to the listing.

2. A dialog box will display on the screen to edit the event. First, choose if you would like to Update all Future Events or Update the Single Event you selected from the report. Next, click on the Team dropdown menu to locate the team you wish to assign to the training event(s). The menu selection will be organized in the same manner as the seasonal structure for the respective season.

3. Once the team has been selected, click Save.


The team will now be listed as assigned to the training event(s) on the Training Schedules report. Click on the team name to be taken to the Team Page where the event(s) will be listed on the Team’s Calendar view.

Drag & drop teams into training events:

1. Locate the training event or an event in a recurring series using the search box or sort/filter options.

2. Once the target event has been located, use the arrows adjacent to division names in the Season Structure to open the structure and display teams within a grouping.

3. Once the team is displayed on the screen, click on the team name, drag over to the target training event, and drop over the event listing.

  • If the target training event is a single event, the team will be immediately placed into the event.​

  • If the target event is part of an event series, a confirmation message will display on the screen asking to confirm the placement of the team with all associated events in the series. Click Yes, Proceed to associate all training events in the series to the team, or click No, Cancel exit the process.

4. The team will now be listed as assigned to the training event(s) on the Training Schedules report. Click on the team name to be taken to the Team Page, where the event(s) will be listed on the Team’s Calendar view.
