You have the ability to change a team's name at any time. If a team existed in previous seasons but changed its team name in the current season, we recommend adding that team as a new team. If you add them as a returning team and change their name, you will be changing the team's name for all of the previous seasons. Make sure that you are comfortable with changing the history of a team before you actually make the change. You will no longer have a record of the old team name if you change it. That new team name will permanently exist.
From the admin home screen, click on Elements
Choose the Season Structure Wizard
Click on the appropriate season for your league
Click on the division name
Click on Edit Team Names (top left-hand corner) to modify a team name.
Change your team name. Note: the system will warn you that you will be changing this team's history if you change its name.
Click Save if you're ok with the system's note.
For those who accepted team applications, you can change the team name directly on the application. You do not need to follow the steps listed above.
