Conflict Criteria when Scheduling Events

Conflict criteria when creating a single training event

When creating a single training event and selecting to use a location/surface that already has an event scheduled on it, a message will appear letting the user know that their current selection will create a conflict. A different location/surface will need to be chosen in order to add the training event to the calendar.

Conflict criteria when creating a training event series

When creating a training event series and selecting to use a location/surface that has an event(s) scheduled on it, upon clicking Add a warning message will appear letting the user know of the conflict, and provide two available actions on how the user can proceed with scheduling the series:

  • Confirm: If selecting confirm, the impacted events will be created, but the system will resolve any conflicts by leaving the location for those events blank. The location/surface would then need to be input at a later time. (See below)

  • Cancel: If selecting cancel, you will be taken back to the previous screen w,here you can make adjustments to the series in order for it to get scheduled again.

If confirming to create the event series and conflicting events are created with blank locations, at any time you can return to the Training Schedules view, locate the event(s) and select the Edit Training Event button to enter a location/surface.
