There are two types of variables that you can choose from in the Outbase platform; Default variables and Custom variables.

To insert a Default variable, head to the Email Templates section and select the email you wish to edit. Then click the { } Variables button, on the right of the right-hand side of the template message box, to reveal the 37 personalization options that you can use within your template.

Press the plus symbol to add the variable to your template and confirm whether you want to set it as a required or optional parameter.

If you are uploading your list of contacts and companies, you can create your custom variables, by selecting the custom variables tab. You can learn more about how to use custom variables here.

Tip: We recommend using the {{COMPANY_CLEAN}} variable instead of the {{COMPANY}} variable. Our system cleans the company name, making it sound more natural to prospects in your emails. This subtle adjustment gives the impression that you've done your homework on the company before reaching out. This advice applies to follow-up emails too.

Learn how to use our variables in our User Documentation.
