Test each email template individually

Sending a test of your template is super simple with Outbase!

To test your email template, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the "Email Templates" tab in the main menu.

  2. Select the specific template you want to test.

  3. Click the "Send Test Email" button.

  4. In the pop-up window that appears:

  • Choose the email account you want to send the test email from using the "Send From" drop-down menu.

  • If applicable, review and confirm the "Test Variables" on tab 2.

  • Click "I'm done" to proceed.

5. Your test email will be sent to your inbox with the email signature you've configured for your email account.

This process ensures you can thoroughly assess the appearance and functionality of your email template before sending it to your recipients.

The test email will arrive in your inbox with the email signature you added to your email account.

Testing of All Emails in a Message Sequence at Once

To thoroughly test the entire sequence of emails in your messaging campaign and preview how they will appear in your prospect's inbox, please follow these straightforward steps:

  1. Go to the Campaign Manager submenu, located under the Campaigns section.

  2. Select the specific Campaign for which you want to test your message sequence.

  3. Within the Messaging section, click on the drop-down menu.

  4. Now, click on the "Test Sequence" button.

  5. Follow the same process as you would when testing an email template individually.

The only variation you'll find in this modal is the option to choose whether you want to include previous messages as part of a thread (where all emails from your message sequence are grouped together in a single email thread). Additionally, you have the choice to include your email signature in all the emails within the sequence.

This streamlined process ensures that you can effectively assess the entire email sequence's presentation and functionality, offering you valuable insights into the prospect's experience.
