If your OWNU subscription payment isn’t going through, don’t worry, this usually has a simple explanation. The steps to resolve it depend on where you purchased your subscription.

Common Reasons for Failed Payments

  • Expired or invalid card details

  • Insufficient funds in your account

  • Bank declines the transaction for security reasons

  • Apple/Google account billing issues (outdated card, PayPal issue, etc.)

  • Temporary technical issue with the payment platform

Website (Stripe)

If you purchased via the OWNU website:

  1. Log in to your OWNU account on the website - clicking on Manage Subscription in the website footer.

  2. Go to Account → Subscription Settings.

  3. Select Update Payment Method to add a valid card.

  4. Retry the payment.

If your bank blocked the payment, you may need to contact them to approve the charge.

Apple App Store (iOS)

If you purchased via Apple, check your Apple ID payment method:

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad.

  2. Tap your name → Payment & Shipping.

  3. Make sure your card details are up to date and retry the payment.

Google Play Store (Android)

If you purchased via Google Play Store:

  1. Open the Google Play Store app.

  2. Tap your profile icon → Payments & Subscriptions → Payment Methods.

  3. Update or add a valid card.

What Happens if My Payment Fails?

If a payment fails, your subscription will remain active for a short grace period while the system automatically retries the charge. If those attempts are unsuccessful, your subscription will be paused until you update your payment method.
