Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms can be a useful tool when you have a mid-large fleet of VR headsets. They help you manage and maintain your headsets.
This guide will take you through managing OMS via your MDM. We provide guidance for using VR headsets with:
Meta Horizon Managed Solutions (Meta Quest devices only)
Manage XR (Meta Quest and Pico devices)
Arbor XR (Meta Quest and Pico devices)
Managing Meta Quest Devices with an MDM
You can manage Meta Quest 2, Quest 3 and Quest 3S devices for use with OMS via an MDM.
In order to use any MDM with Meta devices, you must first register your devices to the Meta Horizon Managed Solutions (MHMS) platform. You can use MHMS as a standalone MDM or use a third party MDM (Arbor XR or Manage XR) alongside MHMS.
Using MHMS as a standalone MDM
Enroll in Meta Horizon Managed Solutions (MHMS):

Request access to the OMS app in your MHMS services account here
Look out for an email confirmation that the OMS app has been shared with your MHMS organisation
Set up your Meta Quest headsets (following the guidance provided in MHMS) with the OMS app

Note - MDM deployment of OMS is only available to current OMS customers. Trialling customers will not be given MDM access to the platform during trial.
