Google Analytics
Updated over a week ago

Although PageTiger has it's own reporting suite, it's possible to connect to a Google Analytics account. It's simple to set up, all you need is your Google GA4 Number!

What is Google Analytics?

Google Analytics is a web analytics service used to collect visitor insights. The service is part of the Google Marketing Platform, and is available for free to anyone with a Google account.

Google GA4 Number

Before you can configure your Google Analytics in your PageTiger account, you will need to log into your Google Analytics account and copy your GA4 Number.

To ensure the most accurate and up to date instructions are available to you, we have linked through to the Google Support website where you can find the steps to do this.

How to configure Google Analytics

  • Select ‘Documents’ from the main menu.

  • Select ‘Settings’ followed by ‘Analytics’.

  • Select the ‘Add’ button.

  • Enter a name, for example 'Google Analytics - Newsletter'.

💡 Enter a name that is clear and recognisable so you know which one you're looking for when you wish to add it to a document.

  • Select the 'Google Analytics' tab.

  • Paste your GA4 Number into the field provided.

The field is currently labelled as 'UA Number' but will accept your G4A number.

  • Select the 'Save' button.

How to apply to a document

Once the above steps have been completed, you can apply the new analytics rule to your document and begin reporting.

  • Navigate to a document.

  • Select the ‘Analytics’ tab.

  • Select the analytics rule required from the drop-down list.

  • Select ‘Save’.

What happens next?

The next time you log into Google Analytics, the reporting data for your PageTiger document will be available to you.

Google Analytics is a third party website and it is not supported, monitored or controlled by PageTiger.
