Step 1 - Set up a TigerPlayer
Updated over a week ago

The first step to using TigerPlayer is to set one up on your machine - this is what will be used to control which document (or documents) are played on your digital screen.

All service charges include one TigerPlayer license - if you would like to purchase additional licences, please contact your Account Manager.

How to set up a TigerPlayer

  • Log into your PageTiger account.

  • Select ‘Player’ from the main menu, followed by ‘Players’.

  • Select the 'Add Player' button.

Details tab

Choose the settings for the TigerPlayer, such as name and window style preference.

Name

Enter a name for the TigerPlayer.

💡 Make sure you use a clear, concise name that reflects what the player will be used for or where it's being used. For example - 'Star Hotel - Reception Foyer'.

License Key

A license key is needed to access the player on the device you wish to display it on. This will be needed once you have downloaded the TigerPlayer App.

Auto Update TigerPlayer

Ticked by default, this option ensures any TigerPlayer software updates are automatically run.

Auto Update Hour

If the above option has been enabled, specify the time for the updates to take place.

Window Style

Choose how your PageTiger document(s) will be displayed on the digital screen using the TigerPlayer app.

  • Windowed: The window can be moved, resized, and closed.

  • Full Screen: The window cannot be moved, resized, or closed.

  • Kiosk: Full screen only.

Pressing F11 on the keyboard of the digital screen will switch between ‘Fullscreen’ and ‘Windowed’ (and vice-versa). Choosing 'Kiosk' will disabled this option.

Hidden 'Change Mode' Button Position

This option allows the person managing the TigerPlayer app on the digital screen to launch the hidden 'Change Mode' button, so they can change the active mode of the TigerPlayer.

This option should only be enabled if multiple modes are available and you would like the person managing the device to be able to change the mode.

  • Top Left.

  • Top Right.

  • Bottom Left.

  • Bottom Right.

  • Disabled.

Run on Startup

Selected by default, this option will launch the TigerPlayer application as soon as the device starts up.

On-Screen Keyboard

Selected by default, this option enables an on-screen keyboard, allowing the person viewing the document to input text (for example, enter their name).

This option should only be enabled if the people viewing your document are permitted or required to use the keyboard.

Location tab (optional)

Select the ‘Location’ tab to enter the location of the digital screen that will be used to download the TigerPlayer app.

  • Select ‘Save’.

💡 Your player will show as ‘Inactive’, but don't panic; this is expected and nothing to worry about at this stage.
