How do PamPam map embeds work?

PamPam allows you to embed an interactive map into your website so that people can view your map. When you make a change or edit in the PamPam map maker, the changes are automatically reflected in the embed.

Embeds don't allow people to sign in to edit the map or see any of the editing tools including the PamPam bot.

Embedding maps requires a paid plan. See plans.

Do PamPam embeds work on mobile?

Yes, embeds are responsive automatically. Resize your desktop window to see a mobile embed preview. You have the option to show the panel, or not, on mobile.

Embed options

Show panel on mobile - This options allows you to see the full panel on your mobile embed. It'll appear at the bottom of your screen. We recommend using this "show panel" mode with a full height, and full width and only a header at the top. We don't recommend having a footer below it. See this example on mobile.

Show tap to interact - This will show a "Tap to interact" button and overlay on top of your map, so that users need to click on that before being able to click into the map and pan around the map. This is helpful when you're embedding a map in a page with more content below, and you don't want users to get stuck on the map, for example in a blog post.
