Physical SIM Activation Customer Journey

Scenario 1: I received a physical SIM, but I don’t have an account yet

Step 1: Sign Up on the Website

Visit Panda Mobile and select your preferred language (English or Chinese).

Step 2: Choose a Plan

You can either:

  • Select a plan under the 'Plan' section, OR

  • On the desktop version, click the human icon to go to the portal sign-in page. On the mobile version, tap the hamburger icon in the upper right corner, select 'Log in', and then click "New to Panda Mobile?"

Step 3: Plan Selection and SIM Option

You'll be asked to choose a plan, where inclusions are displayed. Then, select your SIM option:

Note: In the meantime, please select eSIM since you already have a physical SIM card on hand. This will allow us to proceed with the checkout flow and create your account. FYI, the proper workflow for this specific scenario is already in the works.

Step 4: Account Creation

You'll be asked to provide your account information to create your Panda Mobile account.

Step 5: Checkout and Payment

  • Proceed and complete the payment process.

Once the payment is successful, the activation process will begin.

Step 6: Number Generation

Make sure a number is generated before activating the SIM card by following the flow.

  1. Your dashboard will prompt you to activate your line. Click 'Start activation'.

  2. Choose whether to transfer/port-in your number or get a new number.

  3. Follow and complete the on-screen instructions. There's no need to scan the QR code, since you'll be activating a physical SIM—just proceed with the steps as if the code had been scanned.

Step 7: Activate and Install Your SIM Card

  1. Activate your SIM:

    • On your landing page, go to view details > Manage > Your SIM > Get new SIM > Physical SIM

    • Enter the ICCID number printed on the front of the SIM card, as shown below. This will link your SIM to your Panda Mobile line. Then, click Complete.

  2. Install Your SIM:

    • Eject the SIM Card Tray - Use a SIM ejector tool (or a small paperclip) to open the SIM card tray on your phone.

    • Insert the SIM Card - Place your Panda Mobile SIM card into the tray with the gold contacts facing down, then slide the tray back into your phone.

    • Restart Your Phone - Turn your phone off and on again to ensure it recognizes the new SIM card and connects to the Panda Mobile network.

Scenario 2: I just created an account (or already have one) and have received a physical SIM to activate

Step 1: Number Generation

Please skip this step if a number has already been generated

Make sure a number is generated before activating the SIM card by following the flow.

  1. Log in to your portal, and your dashboard will prompt you to activate your line. Click 'Start Activation'.

  2. Choose whether to transfer/port-in your number or get a new number.

  3. Follow and complete the on-screen instructions. There's no need to scan the QR code, since you'll be activating a physical SIM—just proceed with the steps as if the code had been scanned.

Step 2: Activate and Install Your SIM Card

  1. Activate your SIM:

    • On your landing page, go to view details > manage > Your SIM > Get new SIM > Physical SIM
