To ensure accuracy in your Pricing & Lead Time tab, weโ€™ve introduced a warning system that alerts you to potential issues in your quote. These warnings help catch inconsistencies before finalizing your quote, saving time and preventing errors.

What Triggers a Warning?

โ›”๏ธ A warning appears when:

  • Lots are unassigned or assigned to a hidden product.

  • A product or lot has 0% or negative margin (selling price is too low or missing).

  • A product or lot has no Extended Sell Price, meaning:

    • Quantity is missing.

    • Sell price is missing.

    • Both quantity and sell price are missing.

  • The manufacturer is not part of your Company Manufacturer list.

How Warnings Appear in Your Quote

๐Ÿ”ถ In the Pricing & Lead Time Tab

  • A Warning Toggle has been added to let you view or hide warnings.

  • When warnings are turned on, you will see a count of issues (e.g., โ€œ3 Warningsโ€).

  • Orange highlights and lines indicate specific problem areas:

  • Missing Extended Sell Price โ†’ Quantity/Sell Price cells highlighted.

  • 0% or Negative Margin โ†’ Margin cell highlighted.

  • Unrecognized Manufacturer โ†’ Manufacturer cell highlighted.

  • Multiple warnings โ†’ All affected cells highlighted.

๐Ÿ”ถ At Quote Creation

  • If your quote contains warnings, you will see a modal warning before proceeding.

  • You can choose to:

  • Review Warnings โ†’ Returns to Pricing & Lead Time with warnings turned on.

  • Proceed Anyway โ†’ Continue creating the quote with unresolved warnings.

  • Warnings will also appear in the BOM selection screen, reminding you of any unresolved issues.

How to Customize Warning Settings

You can manage warning preferences within the Warning Settings section:

  • Located in Branch Location > BOM Presets (formerly BOM Settings).

  • Default warnings apply to new BOMs, but you can adjust them on a quote-by-quote basis.

  • Toggle ON/OFF for:

  • Missing Extended Sell Price

  • No Margin

  • Unassigned Lots

  • Manufacturer Outside of Company List

  • Additional warning modal (reminds you before quote creation)

โš ๏ธ Important Notes:

  • Warnings do not prevent quote creation unless you enable the reminder modal.

  • If all warnings are resolved, the toggle will be disabled, and a message will confirm there are no warnings left.

By using these warning indicators, you can ensure more accurate pricing and lead time calculations while reducing manual errors in your quotes. ๐Ÿš€
